Day 1 in Ho Chi Minh
Many of us confuse about Ho Chi Minh and Saigon, actually there are referring to the same place.
The city now known as Ho Chi Minh City has been inhabited for many hundreds of years and its name has changed a few times in that period as ownership has shifted between nations.
Long story short, I arrived at Saigon ( I simply like to call this place Saigon ) at 9AM local time,
I took a taxi from airport to my hotel (Alagon Hotel & Spa).
It was originally cost me RM20 - RM25 to took a taxi from airport to my hotel but I got conned by local taxi driver T.T , he charge me RM 103
( Please take noted that it only cost you RM 20 - RM25 to the city from the airport)
By the way I really recommend my hotel if you go to Saigon because they charge with a reasonable price and they provides many facilities such as SPA, Jacuzzi, Gym, Swimming Pool and rooftop chilling place.
Their Room is very big and comfy !
The best thing is Saigon is my HOTEL =)
After I put my luggage to my hotel, we got out to hunt for some food, so we walk to
Ben Thanh Market
This market not only have food, they also sell a lot of stuff.
By the way I bought my Vietnamese Hat for 50,000 Dong which is around RM 10
They wanted to charge me 250,000 Dong ( around RM 45 ) for that.
This time I become smarter after I got conned by the taxi driver.
Then I went to the famous Church in Saigon called -
Duc Ba Church
It is located at the center of the city.
Along the way, one Vietnamese come to talk to us and he straight away open a COCONUT for us and ask us to buy from him.
So we are FORCED to purchases this COCONUT and it cost us RM 25
( Please be aware of this if you travel to Saigon )
I think tourist is their main income so ........ that's why....
I was very angry then but......anyway i still enjoy my trip ^^
Then we went to a coffee shop called -
Trung Nguyen Cafe
This is what we ordered
The signature Vietnamese coffee
Their coffee is really really GOOD
Must drink coffee everyday in Vietnam
After drinking coffee, we went back to our hotel and took a rest.
Came out at the evening and hunt for food again
I had this Vietnamese Subway for my Dinner
They call it Banh Mi
Their Banh Mi is really cheap, it cost about RM4
so please don't get conned ya
Of course I still feel hungry after eating the Banh Mi because I'm always hungry.
so we had Beef noodle soup after our Banh Mi
hahahaha
Beef noodle soup cost us about RM 13
( not cheap but yummy )
so I went to Massage after my dinner
( I love Massage )
Massage in Vietnam is more expensive than Thailand
it cost about RM 33 per hour (excluded tip) and you have to tips them
They will force you to tip them
LOL
After a relexing maasage, We went to Bui Vien Street for some drinks, this is the part I like the most
This street feel like our Changkat
There are lots of bars, restaurants and clubs.
so if you want to enjoy the night
I would recommend you to come enjoy your night in this street.
So, this is how I spent my Day 1 in Ho Chi Minh
Stay tune for my Day 2
